SC Small Business Chamber of Commerce is a statewide, 5,000+ member advocacy organization working to make state government more small business friendly.  Since their beginning in February of 2000 we have successfully promoted the general interests of small business in state government and from time to time at the local federal levels.  Taxes, health insurance, workforce development, energy, utility rates, workers’ compensation insurance, and government procurement policies are some of the issues they are addressing.

South Carolina Healthcare Voices (a partnership of SC Appleseed Legal Justice Center (link), SC Small Business Chamber of Commerce (link), and AARP - SC (link) promotes healthcare change by focusing on the need for national healthcare reform. This website provides information and support to SC citizens who want to address healthcare issues and solve problems. South Carolina Healthcare Voices’ website combines information, education, analysis and advocacy to inspire the citizens of SC to take an active role in healthcare reform and to make their stories known. With effort, we can help promote change and bring affordable healthcare to all Americans.

Citizens for Tax Justice, founded in 1979, is a 501 (c)(4) public interest research and advocacy organization focusing on federal, state and local tax policies and their impact upon our nation. CTJ's mission is to give ordinary people a greater voice in the development of tax laws. Against the armies of special interest lobbyists for corporations and the wealthy, CTJ fights for fair taxes for middle and low-income families, requiring the wealthy to pay their fair share, closing corporate tax loopholes,  adequately funding important government services, reducing the federal debt, taxation that minimizes distortion of economic markets.
